19/04 - Delicious capitaine... and an unexpected finale :s

Happy Easter everyone!!!

The week went by, day after day, task after task. Fast, in a blur, working like a mad and enjoying it.
Like Zuzi & Ric told me... that can' be good. But I do feel good. Honestly. Which can only confirm a certain degree of madness...

Murakami's "Baila, Baila, Baila" still ongoing. I'm at that point where I'm nearly finishing and don't want to... There's always a sense of loss when you're finishing a great book.

Got some comments from Guinean people on my blog. Weird... The blog is in Portuguese, most of it anyway. It got me thinking, my blog is public, but it's not listed... And then it hit me: search engines...
Amazing enough: I type "conakry news" on google and out of 6.760.000 results, one of my posts is the 6th!... just between NYTimes and ABCnews. What?... :-p
OK, changing the title... :-D

It's the weekend again. The week did fly by...
Another wonderful day spent at the beach with a couple of friends. Still Kassa island but a different beach.
Walking on the beach, playing beach paddle ball, a nice siesta hmmmm, started a new book "L'enfant de Nöe" by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, I feel it'll get me crying at certain points.

At lunch, the biggest and most delicious capitaine I've had since I'm here...
And... I finally learned - or managed - to open bottles without a bottle-opener. How cool is that??

And coming back, we had to get our feet into... the mud, let's say the mud, most of it it's just mud. Totally yacky! arrrghhh
We did washed our feet and legs with water and bleach. I actually soaked my feet in a bleach solution. Twice.

So that you understand better the whole bleach thing, here is the departure picture...
See all the garbage behind?... Won't tell you all the things we've seen, as we had to walk until getting in the pirogue... Right...

First things first

A bit of quiet this week.
Will have to work most of the time and I do need a rest so... no paradise beach this weekend.

Got up at 10 am - soooo nice!!

A bit of cleaning, watering up the plants, sort of have the feeling I've been away from home for a few days... :s :)
Aranhuços (daddy long legs) had started to try and gain their territory back...

The week passed by in a rush, once again.
Work is going well I think, we just don't stop. Funny enough, I'd never be able to do what I'm doing if it wasn't for the BNP time and some of the working practices I gained there (a sério!!) and for the super-coaching by EdF. Amazing...! :)

I have a post on draft for last week. Will finish it up tomorrow or this evening.

Now time to take care of a couple of administrative stuff... "boooring... yet necessary ;) "

Have a nice weekend!!

Weekend in Kassa...

Revigorante... :) Voltei ontem daqui:

Fez-me bem, soube-me bem. Adorei. Soube-me pela vida, como se costuma dizer. Soube-me a pouco ;)

Conakry 07-13/04 and Kassa! :)

07 - 13/04/14

Time flies... and the week went by. Just have a big blur... remember spending hours and hours behind a computer screen, a couple of hours on meetings somewhere,...
Oohh, right... that was work... :-)

It was a great week. Work went well. Got some nice (great?) accomplishments, am truly happy with my team! And happy about my work, it feels good ;)

Was out for the weekend and no internet on the laptop so... further news during the week.

The weekend was awesome!!! @my healing place in Conakry, Kassa island. Honestly, I do feel I get younger, prettier, happier when I go there. And so at home!! Thank you Magellan!!!

Segunda semana

E, claro, backgammon ('desporto' nacional) todo o dia, quem perde, salta fora.

Adorei!
Adorei que tivesses vindo. Adorei as gargalhadas, as prendas, a salada de frutas, os miúdos, a florzinha do teu jardim, a t-shirt, a blusa 'tcham', os livros,... Adorei tudo. Adoro-vos. Mesmo.

Ficaram a conhecer a casa e a vista by night. Eu vou pondo fotos no blog.

As gémeas dormiam tranquilamente.
Soube-me muito bem!

Revigorante!!

Office with a view

This is the view from my office. Not so bad, hein?...

The sunset is different every day and absolutely wonderful. For me, who loves to watch it (who doesn’t?), it’s a vraie bonheur.
It’s such a nice ending for any day, no matter what happened. I apologize for those who haven’t windows in your offices… I’ve been there (and hate it).
I don’t actually have windows, but these huge half-glass, half-walls. A wonderful view just can’t open the window to have better pictures.
Anyway, I’ll have plenty of beautiful mental images. It’d be something to tell you when I’m back.
If I’d tell everything here on the blog, there wouldn’t be anything left to talk about…!

Happy 2006 !! (update Jan 1st)

Hello! I've entered 2006 'before' most of you... :)

One of the things I find most wonderful about New Year's celebrations - and about each new day, actually - it's the way we, humans, find of starting over and over again, of believing new things are possible, of keeping on smiling, working and struggling, enjoying and celebrating LIFE!

My dearest wishes of

Health, Peace and Love

in 2006!

Be happy!!

Love, Susie
