Back in time...

Madrid, 17.12.06

Desta vez, Numerologia, super-interessante, e ajudou-me a esclarecer algumas questões 'internas'. Sinto-me + leve e 'focused'.

NEWS !!! Coming up this weekend...

1. I have a dog! :) A lady dog. She is super-sweet (well, she is still recovering from a surgery which might help) and her name is Juni. Photos and details will follow.

2. The dinner with the cousins was fantastic! Thanks, guys & girls. :) I'll try to be less Auntie Scrooge next time... :s Menu on a next post.

3. Some more lovely pics of the sunset coming up.

4. I won't be her on my birthday (as usual, some will say...). It's the last module of my Kundalini Yoga course (or almost, Yoga Sutras will be pending until 2008). I'll spend MY day in the wonderful city of Madrid with my dear aunt Fat and ZeA, together with dearest friends Esme., Paula and my sweet niece S.

Where? How? What?

I'm still in Setúbal, Portugal. More or less...
Yoga classes excepted, travels were to:
1. Parque da Bela-Vista, in Lisbon, on June 4th for the closing concert of Rock in Rio. Corinne Bailey Rae - nice; Anastasia - impressing and full of emotion, I want to be like her! (even Sting's 'light' faded a bit); Sting - I still like him (always... :)) but nothing new and he didn't sing 'Send your love into the future'... (I know he sang some 20 songs. Still...)

2. Madrid, last Sunday, for a course of Yoga for pregnant women (nothing new to tell people, I was there just to learn how to teach... for now :)).

How am I?
Fine, on the run, as usual :) but all good.
The schedule of my Kundalini Yoga classes seems to be sort of organized, I'm adapting to this new routine of working while other people are going home.
House sector - choosing and deciding.
Really busy lately (as you might have guessed from my mail and blog absence).

The whats over the last 3 weeks?
- translating a talk of Yoghi Bhajan on Meditation - I'll see with my teachers if I can forward it to anyone who is interested.
- June 3rd - marriage of Teresa and André. Simply beautiful and beautifully simple. The decoration, the food, the flowers, the bride's dress - everything wonderful and such a good picture of the bride and groom. A lovely, lovely day! Oh, and the view of Quinta Moinhos S. Filipe is...breath-taking. I could stay there just staring for hours and hours. Check out their site: http://moinhossaofilipe.planetaclix.pt/
- I've chosen the kitchen tiles, but the windows must be installed before the masons come. I'm just waiting for a last info before making the final decision concerning the windows, afterwards it'll be a month before they're ready.
- until middle of next week, I'll be attached to my computer most of the time, working on the revision and translation of an ACH proposal for Angola.
- next Saturday afternoon - at Festas do Pinhal Novo, with the Espaço Lótus talking about Yoga to the passers-by or maybe doing some demo class.

Madrid, May 23, 2006

00h30, No man's land café - I don't know if the management has changed but the deco did. The 2 ugly paintings on the wall are gone, replaced by 2 twin paintings of a teapot. The bottle shelves aren't new but, at least, they look cleaner.
Perhaps they just did some Spring cleaning.
Ah! The two unfriendly waitresses were replaced by two faster, friendly & chubby waiters on their 50s.
The tortilla pincho wasn't great, so I guess the cook didn't change.

05h45 am (Spanish time), Mendez Alvaro station - I ask my 'traditional' breakfast: a toast and a thick, rich chocolate, that I delightfully eat with a teaspoon. :) I need to be prepared for the 'battles' at the employment centre and the Tax Dept. And I won't be having lunch before 2pm.

1pm - I'm astonished at how quickly I've managed to do everything!... Bank and stop at ACH included. Nice... :)

2pm - Lunch with Esme and Carole. At Tanin, super-fast as usual.

3pm - With all the due respect, I felt like St. Peter, sort of... 3 times asked if I wanted to go 1,5 months to Jerusalem, 3 times I said no. Not that I don't want to go, but I can't go... I hope to start with my flat's rehab works this week and haven't got anybody to replace me at the Yoga classes. Plus Siri Prakash is coming and I can't just leave her stranded...
Anyway, there will be other missions. And I will go to Jerusalem on holidays, at some point, some time, some day.

Afternoon - A beer at Comercial, tea and chocolate cake at Teteria de la Abuela, pizza at Plaza 2 de Mayo with the usual suspects (Esme, Paula & Teresa). Guys, next time, I'll write a week before I arrive letting you know I'll be in Madrid. Sorry...

11pm - Back on the bus for another 8 hours of travelling. Don't ask me why, I just wanted to be back to Portugal quickly and get on with things over here.

Still and even though I only stayed one day this time, the shock is huge... I didn't realize but I missed Madrid a lot, the streets, the movement, a different lifestyle. Can't quite compare Setúbal with Madrid, it isn't 'comparable'.
Since Wednesday, I've spend most of my spare mental time on sort of a digestive process, weighing the consequences of my professional/living choices. I definitely must go out more often.

7 moments in Madrid - 10 Mar 06

1. 7h10 am - Não dormi quase nada no autocarro. Ao trocar de metro, oiço um clarinete a tocar parte da OST do Lord of the Rings... Até fiquei com pele de galinha. Instante de felicidade...

"Problema teu." Capisce?

5. A música indiana do CD Casa do Castelo dançada no 1º dia do Tantra...

6. Horror - banda de rock no metro, purposeful and not bad mas, depois de 3h de estiramentos, asanas e mantras, é como se me estivessem a dar com uma panela na cabeça.

7. Deliciosos crepes!

  2. Comecei a tirar as minhas trancinhas.
