Luanda - almost a month

Hi

Had a wonderful dinner out today, with J. and some of her colleagues. Well, mostly with J. :) More than a year since we last met, so many things changed in both her life and mine, we just kept chatting.
It was nice, and nice to know also that they're happy in Cambridge.

Now, Luanda... after a month here, I have a strange mix of feelings inside me. I suppose the best way of expressing what I feel is "there is a lot of work to do around here" - I'm not saying anything specific, I know. But when I say this, it applies to Luanda, to the whole way things work here including traffic and pools full of trash and dark filthy water. When I say it, it also applies to myslef, to the way I'm handling things, thinking about them, coping with them, etc

So far, it's work, that's pretty much it. The beach is OK, the house where I live and the owners are quite nice and have sort of adopted me as a niece. Not much more to say.

The ACF house is really near, I'll probably go for dinner one of these days. :)

Only 1 week left for departure... to Angola.

No, not with an NGO. This time, I'll be working for a private company "after all these years" :)

You'll find more often at Os Bahadurs, always written in Portuguese. I'll drop in here once in a while anyway for a few lines in English .

Não aqueço lugar... saída para Angola marcada para dia 2 de Maio.
Até lá, entre preparativos e pendentes, ainda muito que fazer.

Vou ficar em Luanda, a trabalhar na empresa de um amigo dos meus pais e pai de uma amiga minha.
Ainda não sei qual será o meu acesso à net, tentarei que seja regular (e frequente :) ).
