This week in Susie's space & time

Steady and ongoing - the Kundalini Yoga classes :) .

Saturday
Dinner at Livramento. Lovely to see Peter & Barbara again and listen to all the stories from 20 years ago (!) when Ricardo and I were Dani & Claudia's age! :)

Sunday
Working on the translation with a break for lunch: grilled sardines Morocann style, with coriander, delicious!
And... bye, bye, Holland... (Van Basten is uglier than I remembered). Time was passing sooo slowly. I don't want to start any discussion on football or about that match. I was happy we passed! Just let them play!

Monday
One translation cancelled, change of plans regarding the presentation of the document. Thanks for the help, anyway, guys... Now, you can understand a little bit of a day's work in an NGO/humanitarian sector. Impredictible... Just be reactive, think and work fast.
Having the afternoon off, I was able to go and see Dani's judo show; all proud of my little brother who did pretty well.

Tuesday
A nice cup of tea with Rosa at Relaxis. I arrive home to find a new translation on my mailbox. Like David says, that's all good, it's work and it's paid, so I don't complain. So long for a quieter week.

Wednesday
I think most of the details of Siri Prakash's visit are settled. Fingers crossed to see if we manage to go and teach that trial class in Lisbon - it'd be great!!
Oh, and I got an invitation to teach yoga for kids at Academia dos Morangos, in Setúbal. If the kids like it and the parents are interested, I might start a class there in September :) :) :)

Thursday
After 2 (3?) months of exchanging e-mails, I finally talked to Siri Prakash on the phone (thank you, Skype). I just hope everything goes well! I'm working on the flyers and will email them to everybody - please come!! You won't regret it!
Yami, it was great to have you online. I had quite a few laughs! :) Do come and visit! And I'll see if I can go to England this year still; I'd visit you in Oxford and, of course, go to Hereford, Cambridge and visit my brother Ric and Zuzi.

Friday
Here I am finishing the flyers and working on the translation for Guinea. Or trying to. I'm soo lazy today...

Porque não escrevo mais?

Porque parece que ninguém me lê... Ninguém comenta nada... Foram todos de férias?

For romantics and believers

A movie coming up... (don't know when though).

The Lake House - Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. It was him who made me realize there were some pretty interesting male specimens among the dark-haired, brown-eyes guys ;) Those were the times of Speed, 12 years ago.

And she's nice, normal, makes us (girls) believe we can find a guy just as nice as she can...

Holidays postponed

Me and time are in constant struggle.
I just have to learn to stop struggling, I'm sure it'd be easier.

Anyway, I had to cancel my trip to Jerusalém :( :( :( Some other time... I'm really sorry not to attend the wedding though...

I'll be all over ACH's translations (or the translations will be all over me) until wednesday, I think.

Till then... take care

Sardines by the sea and two hours enjoying the Sun and the sea in Albarquel!... Wonderful!! My batteries are charged again!

One down, two to go

First translation, from French into English, finished and sent.
After a night's sleep, I'll change the chip and start translating from French and English into Portuguese.

A nossa equipa :) :) :)

My what and whereabouts...

I'll stop e-mailing and sending messages booking days and schedules for coffee, I keep changing!... Yeah, ok, what's new, right?...

Anyway, I'm here, I don't forget you but I really have to get some work done. Although I'm trying to go out once or twice a week, trying to keep a foot on the outer world, I think I have to behave this week.

- No news about my house rehab. Don't ask (please), I'll keep you posted.

- I'm trying to finish a translation today and have two more to go. Until June 27th. They're paid, so you understand if they're the priority, right?

- Kundalini Yoga classes are going fine. I feel comfortable doing it, trying to make the best exercises for everybody and it's great to hear the students' feedback and how they feel their life (or their perception of it) is changing with time.

- Yes, I am a Ayurvedic massage therapist. I know not many of you know it (apart from the lucky ones who have received a massage ;)). As with almost everything that regards my presence, you have to book a schedule; even if it is at your place.

- I'm organizing a few workshops with Siri Prakash - in Portugal from July 4th to August 3rd -. I'll send the flyers by e-mail to everybody, hope to have them before the end of the week. We'll have a special Full Moon class on July 10th (in Setúbal) and a special New Moon class on July 25th (also in Setúbal). You're more than welcome!
Siri Prakash is also a numerologist. So, if you're in a moment of your life when you'd like to know more about yourself and what-to-do-next, if you need a hand on bringing out that professional or life desire carefully kept in your heart, think about booking a session. I won't miss the opportunity! (of course! :))

- I'm travelling to Jerusalem on June 28th (I hope.. the agency should confirm the ticket today). A few days of holidays and Rasha and Fadi's wedding. No need to tell that I'm thrilled to go back! I think Jerusalem is my 2nd home... And I'm really happy to be present on that day, after all we've spent 1,5 years working together, miss Rasha! I'll be back to Portugal on July 3rd.

Hmm... I think that's all for now.
Love,
Susana

A great night out!!

Saturday spent with Yoga class and supporting the Espaço Lótus for a while at Festas do Pinhal Novo. I had a Reiki treatment done... strange but good...

In the evening, I drove to Lisbon to meet Susi Salmador y Elena Roncal, who were in Portugal for a girls' weekend.
Together with two really nice and charming British guys who sail for a living (another great job!), we had a good dinner at "A Baiúca" (1) (an option for whenever Cataplana is full, like yesterday), a drink in Bairro Alto and, then, off to the Docas to dance!

And I had a wonderful, wonderful time!! One of the best evenings over the last months... ;) Thanks, girls & boys!

Next time in Barcelona, San Sebastian, La Rochelle, wherever...

(1) Dinner at "A Baiúca" in Bairro Alto.

If my life was a movie...

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic
Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few. But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.
Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski

Where? How? What?

I'm still in Setúbal, Portugal. More or less...
Yoga classes excepted, travels were to:
1. Parque da Bela-Vista, in Lisbon, on June 4th for the closing concert of Rock in Rio. Corinne Bailey Rae - nice; Anastasia - impressing and full of emotion, I want to be like her! (even Sting's 'light' faded a bit); Sting - I still like him (always... :)) but nothing new and he didn't sing 'Send your love into the future'... (I know he sang some 20 songs. Still...)

2. Madrid, last Sunday, for a course of Yoga for pregnant women (nothing new to tell people, I was there just to learn how to teach... for now :)).

How am I?
Fine, on the run, as usual :) but all good.
The schedule of my Kundalini Yoga classes seems to be sort of organized, I'm adapting to this new routine of working while other people are going home.
House sector - choosing and deciding.
Really busy lately (as you might have guessed from my mail and blog absence).

The whats over the last 3 weeks?
- translating a talk of Yoghi Bhajan on Meditation - I'll see with my teachers if I can forward it to anyone who is interested.
- June 3rd - marriage of Teresa and André. Simply beautiful and beautifully simple. The decoration, the food, the flowers, the bride's dress - everything wonderful and such a good picture of the bride and groom. A lovely, lovely day! Oh, and the view of Quinta Moinhos S. Filipe is...breath-taking. I could stay there just staring for hours and hours. Check out their site: http://moinhossaofilipe.planetaclix.pt/
- I've chosen the kitchen tiles, but the windows must be installed before the masons come. I'm just waiting for a last info before making the final decision concerning the windows, afterwards it'll be a month before they're ready.
- until middle of next week, I'll be attached to my computer most of the time, working on the revision and translation of an ACH proposal for Angola.
- next Saturday afternoon - at Festas do Pinhal Novo, with the Espaço Lótus talking about Yoga to the passers-by or maybe doing some demo class.
